Little apprehensive about this run but Iโve not been beaten yet and that keeps me thinking positively. Iโm just wondering why so many people tell me running is bad ? I have a bad knee and wear a support but in all honesty my knee has improved over the weeks and I can now walk/run uphill with minimal pain but when I started hills were an absolute no go !
How can running be bad when it makes me feel physically and mentally so much better ?

I was so nervous about it and the first 5-8 minutes I kept thinking I wouldnโt be able to do it but then I got distracted by my podcast and next thing I knew Sarah was telling me Iโd only got 5 minutes left. You can smash it! Xxx
The people who say running is bad are, in the main, non runners. Running impacts the joints and thatโs all theyโve read... but the impacts can be reduced and then they build the knees stronger.
Great job so far... keep the pace down and youโll be just fine for that 20
Thanks ๐ Itโs certainly making me smile more and my knee is the best itโs been in years ! Can I ask do you think the intervals are harder or easier than one long run ?
I found yesterday the walking part was giving me too much time to think about starting running again I just wanted to get it done ! I guess I will know tomorrow ๐
