Hi all, on week 4, mainly running outside, but now at the stage where I feel I would like a few simple stats to help motivate. I however, am not a fan of fancy watches/ fit bits etc. Could anyone recommend a simple application and or pedometer they like ( I am well aware of their limitations) but just want a guide ( I use my knitting row clicker as a lap counter when on the track!) I know a dinosaur, but just thought I would ask - thanks
Pedometer: Hi all, on week 4, mainly running... - Couch to 5K
Pedometer

I use the really basic free version of MapMyRun. Gives lots of stats if you’d like them, or the bare essentials. 😀
Thank you, I will look at that
The free version of Mapmyrun is pretty accurate, I would say 99.8 accurate, I used another app for my first 5K run last Wednesday in a time of 33.40, this morning I ran my third 5K on the exact same course starting at the same place with Mapmyrun in a slightly slower time of 36.59 but the 5K distance was about 20 metres short of last week 🤔I have read here on C25K that happens quite often.
All depends on how much of a dinosaur Japonicajane is - she may not have a smartphone!
I do have a smart phone, but hate my computer, so want something reasonably self contained, that does not require connecting/downloading to computer. That I can write down stats at the end of the run. I am a dinosaur that can read and write but do not need fancy graphs ( there be madness!!)😜

I used Strava on my phone which gives you all sorts of info and you can set alerts every 500m once you get on to the longer runs.
