In torrential rain.... found it quite liberating to be honest... 😊😊 even took my lightweight jacket off for my cool down and walked in a sleeveless top (at this point people were looking at me like I was crazy 😝 ) I graduated from c25k a while ago but like this forum so will keep posting, hope no one minds 🤷♀️🤷♀️
Storming run this morning: In torrential rain... - Couch to 5K
Storming run this morning
Great job... the walk is always the bit where you look nuts to the observer, chucking down with rain, jacket round waist 😂
I like the rain, but I’d be happy with a dry run on Tuesday.
It’s my first proper rain run.... did 7.2k in 41 mins (think the rain definitely helped) not sure what’s going on with my pictures at the moment 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
I’m hoping for a dry run on Tuesday too to test the new trainers... is it sad I don’t want to get them wet and mucky 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well done Suzanne, I wimped out for the first time and ran week 7 run 1 on the treadmill, but will definitely have a go at it in the rain at some time now that I have seen your post
I usually wimp out too but it was amazing..... I need to try and accomplish some treadmill runs for when it gets really bad... is it boring?? If so, how do you get over the mental block?
It is a little bit boring, but some music helps, also it’s a great way of increasing your pace
Suzanne that’s a great effort 7.5 k 41 mins were you actually doing the 5 k in 30 minutes at the end of the programme
I wasn’t doing 5k at the end of the programme, it was probably 32 mins so not too far outside, I’m now running 5k in about 28 mins give or take a few secs... it’s amazing how quickly you improve with consistency
Thanks Suzanne, that has definitely gave me some inspiration, i think it’s all about getting to the 30 minutes and then building on the pace, you have definitely proven that
That’s a great run. Over 7k in 40 mins 👏👏. Fantastic pace. Well done 👍
