First run after a week rest

Tomorrow will be my first run after a week rest going to try a short run and see how I get on if it don’t go well then I will have no choice but to give up the running and go back to road raceing don’t want to but it’s what best for me

You fitness may not be affected after a weeks rest but you’ve not been 100%. So it may have sapped your strength. Providing your ankles ok, give it a go & see how it goes. Try not to put pressure on yourself. Use it as a practice run if you like. As you’ve said, do what’s best for you👍🏻

Just relax... warm up really well and take it slowly. The key is relaxed, slow and steady running.

Relax into it... sounds like you’re loading a lot of mental pressure on it... just go out and do what you can at your pace and you’ve won.

Hi Garden, glad you haven't given up completely. You're doing this for you, remember, so don't push yourself too hard or beat yourself up if you don't do as well as you'd like. You're still recovering, it's ok to take it easy. ((Hug)).
