weather was perfect for running yesterday but I decided not to run

my shoulder & neck were hurting , (not a clue why πŸ€” old age ) I did some exercises instead and I will run tomorrow πŸ‘πŸ»

Monday πŸ™„all morning it's not stopped raining,

Week 9 is going to take a bit longer than I thought

Well....it could be anything... are you warming up and stretching...after the runs... not just leg exercises... It could be you are holding yourself tensely... it can happen to anyone of us at all stages, even in the later stages of the programme and in longer runs...:)

I was out for an hour over yesterday and reminded myself midway, ( with Laura's help) to shake out the shoulders and arms..

My Nan used to use warmed Olive Oil.. ( from the chemist) but it works equally well with baby oil.. use it for a good massage :)

It's something that has happened to me most of my adult life ,

I am at a total loss to why I should be hurting as I ran Friday and pain started Sunday ? I normally blamed work but I have been on holiday since last Tuesday

I have been doing stretched that Physiotherapy department gave me a while ago neck pain has about gone its just in my right shoulder blade now ,

Thanks for the advice

I think a massage is long over due 😊

Yes all that Mentor suggests.πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

I always do the 8 head to toe, biggest loser exercises before doing any exercise.πŸ€”Only takes 5 minsπŸ€” 3 For neck, 2 shoulders, 1 hips , 1 legs and 1 for heart pumping.πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Keeps me right.πŸ‘

Of course you may have been tense and slept on it incorrectly.πŸ€”

Shoulders down no tension anywhereπŸ€”πŸŒŸπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Nothing wrong with avoiding bad weather.πŸŒŸπŸ‘πŸ‘

Funny place Jen.πŸ€”

I have let my posture slip over years, head forward and not well supported, many funny pains in upper arms etc.

Turns out it took a nureologist to sort me out having reported trigeminal nueralgia, facial numbness. MRI scan picked up damage to C1&C2 in my spine.

This is not meant to concern you, body can play tricks,so worth keeping self notes.I am an old Newbie and you are a young Newbie.πŸ‘

This running programme and Michael Johnson’s posture is sorting me out.πŸŒŸπŸ‘πŸ‘

Brillant.πŸŒŸπŸ‘πŸ‘

Now let me see πŸ˜‰

Don't think I have ever had good posture

My body has certainly surprised me over the last few years Always been a size 8/10 5ft 4

Now

Size 14 and 5ft 3 how did that happen πŸ€”πŸ˜‚

Yet I have been told I look more healthy now πŸ€”that was even before this running lark ,

I had a broken thermostat but that seem to have repaired it's self

Neck and shoulders play up every now and again for no apparent reason

Had hip pain when i first started running but I seem to have sorted that (fingers crossed)

All in all I shouldn't complain, I am fitter than I was this time last year ,

I am astounded how our ancient genes can repair our bodies , if triggered , with the right actions. Eg, belly breathing. Mind blowing actually.

I am pleased you are progressing well. Sorry I am not a medic, just a stone age techie dinasaur, πŸ™ˆ

What did you breakπŸ€”and what is that.

My friend always says now when asked how he is, how long have you got.πŸ™ˆπŸ€”πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
