Ten ticks in my app now

And I'm still amblin' along

Week 5 Run 3 is coming for me

But I'm not mad, and I'm not sad

Cos I'm singing a happy song.....

Showing my age there. Oh and the song is not strictly speaking happy as I found the last five minutes of this one the toughest stint so far. I was obviously going just a little too fast in the early runs even though they felt so comfortable. A good reminder for me. Pleased to have got this one done as running for five minutes was looming as a significant challenge. Of course the science behind the programme is spot on as always. I keep having to remind myself of that. The variable is of course me - go slow, think positive has to be my mantra.

As ever good luck to all of you in this journey. Whatever you have in store in the near future you're going to smash it.

Thanks. I'll keep running but you wouldn't want to hear me sing, trust me!

I sing along in the car a lot, my daughter hates it... but what she doesn’t realise is it’s not me out of key, its the other guy singing on the recording!

Cheers. It's just so easy to get too far ahead of myself but today taught me to rein it in again. Constant reminders from you nice people are just so important.

Im a jogger not a runner but I did a 10k about 10 years ago. Not run since but up to w5r1 tomorrow. I always remember "your training not racing" Even elite athletes do a lot of training at 60 to 70 per cent. But it's hard when you feel great at the beginning of a run to put the brakes on!
