Wk3r2 done in pouring rain!

I nearly didn’t go out yesterday cos of the constant rain, but a friend of mine who is an amazing runner convinced me that it’s fine to run when it’s tipping it down 😂. So I did it, and was so proud of myself! I had quite a sore lower back later in eve so I’ve found some Pilates videos (Instructor Live) I’m gonna try do on my rest days. Can’t afford classes anymore so hoping these will help!

Get a cap on to deflect the worst of the rain 🌧👍 yes it really is fine you run in the rain. At times it can help,as it’s cooling Do buy a lightweight run jacket to pop on if needs be You don’t wanna get the chills

Yoga and Pilates are great for your back

Thank you! And thanks for the tip! I’ll look out for a jacket:-). Yesterday I had to make do with my husband’s cycling jacket - not waterproof!

Lightweight run jackets are not waterproof. Waterproof ones are expensive and only really needed in extreme circs where life is at risk if you get cold and wet, eg mountain and fell running For our purposes a cheapo lightweight run jacket will suffice for UK peeps My fave Aldi one with matching cap ws £6.99 I wear it to death. Also its light and flexible enough to tie round my waist. The karrimor, primark ones etc etc are all reasonable

Well done... I’m very much a lover of rain, I don’t get as hot and the running seems easier. Great progress so far and yes, keep the exercises coming on non running days.
