Fantastic! How did you find it? That determination to go in all weathers will stand you in great stead. I absolutely love a really rainy run. There’s nothing like it for making you feel really alive and the shower at the end is just the best! My top tip is to stuff your trainers with newspaper to help them dry more quickly.

There’s a brilliant little guide to the programme here with lots of helpful hints and tips.  Well worth a read.  Most important is keeping it slow and steady at a pace where you can talk in full sentences without gasping.  Most of us go too fast! Recovery days between runs are absolutely essential too.

I am terrible and impatient person but I’m doing this properly not going mad lol

I am lucky there is a running track down the road from me so I run on that better for my knees ect

Lucky to have that track nearby-it makes it easier if you’ve got a place you know you can run. As you carry on through the programme you might enjoy a bit of exploring. The brilliant thing about running is there are so many ways to make it enjoyable and personal to your likes and dislikes.

I’m a fellow impatient person…I started on December 29th because I couldn’t wait until January 1st! Sometimes you might need to discover some patience you never knew you had-it’s really important not to push too hard too early and to take rest days after every run. You’ll see so much progress over time though. Sounds like you’ve got a great attitude wanting to do it properly. Really good luck to you!

Congratulations to you Sparkles22 on completing run 3 of week 1 in the rain, I hope the weather will be kinder to you when you start week 2, remember that you can repeat any runs or week's if you wish to, drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration, no running on consecutive days as that could cause a injury, good luck for your running journey with C25K.
