Hey I hear you. I find this forum a great motivator. I completed the C25K plan last Summer and continued running, training to go sub 30 mins for 5K and did 24 Parkruns. Stopped running last November and December but worked hard in January completing a 5K everyday challenge for the month of January. Continued running until I hurt my back in March. Could not run over the summer and in August I got the green light to start running again. But it’s hard going. I got back to running 5K again, then got a cold, had to stop for 2 weeks, and now I’m back again. But I feel like I’m starting from scratch all over again.

I too need this forum for motivation. Best of luck getting going again.

If you haven't done any workout for quite a while, it's best to take it slow. Go for short jogs, drink a lot of water, will help with the gout and keep an eye on your diet.

Have you considered any supplements or vitamins to help in the fight against the gout?
