W5R1 - alone but enjoyable

Today, I was running alone, as my dog had a previous walk with my partner and she wasn't particularly eager to go out. After all, we all have more energetic and more calm days. Thus, I head out alone. Felt a little bit lonely.

Beginning of my run wasn't very optimistic, as I had technical issues - my mobile decided to go on strike O_O I was doing my warm up walk and was sorting the bloody thing out. I think my 5 min walk transformed to at least 10 min walk. The first 2 minutes were rather hard, as I felt really stiff and lazy. After that initial hard time, the rest was very enjoyable. If it was new route that I tried out, or maybe nice sunny weather with some breeze, or multitude of autumn colours, or whatever the reason. I felt light, free, and I was really enjoying myself.

Enjoy your next run and / or your rest day! Be kind to yourself! Look around and be grateful for beauty of nature.

Great run there... colours changing daily make this my favourite time of year. Managed a few short walks today. Dog’s extra rest day will be good, bet she’s appreciated it.

I really like this golden autumn, when it is not grey and rainy, but like now, sunny, fresh, full of colour. Amazing!

Yeah, and the light on a morning makes for stunning photos.

Is it with nice fog in the morning? Or is it too warm for that?

Been getting some over the water... the other day I was looking at the perfect photo of mist over the river both sides of the motorway with almost perfect vertical lines on the mist either side... sadly I was doing 70mph and my camera was in the boot 😂

I know the feeling with perfect photo opportunity while being behind the wheel with no place to pull over. I love mist <3 I don't like the cold - the usual company of the mist.

Lovely to have a running buddy at the same level! I didn't go out today for W5R2 as I spent all yesterday helping my husband erect some scaffolding so we can repair a gable wall. We must have moved more than 1 ton of metal yesterday, not to mention all the clambering up and down ladders. Hopefully tomorrow I will feel up to going out.

OMG! You definitely worked hard! You can count it as cross-training to improve your running ;) I wish you no sore muscles and good weather to go out there and enjoy this amazing autumn :) Have a nice run!

Well done you...a 10 minute warm up is fine. Glad you are feeling stronger and more rested too xx

Thank you :) Recently with my dog I usually had 10-15 or even 20 min warm up walk :P I always walk home 15min from work and do some active warm up at home (leg swings etc.) ;)

Lovely run IgaT , sounds very satisfying...I’m a lone runner & I love it....my dog is too sniffy to take with me otherwise he could be my companion but I like my own company...enjoy whatever runs you do this week x

As you know, I used to try to run with her previously and didn't work out. I was running alone. This time it is better. She is also a huge sniffer and loves pull-stop way of walking :/ For now we have a deal - I rule during running intervals, she rules during walking intervals. So we nicely run and then we usually stand, she is sniffing and weeing all around, or sometimes we are walking back and forth which causes surprise in other people :D

I love reading your posts IgaT I think you’re great! 😁 Yes, it’s nice when a run transforms like that - sound perfect at the end there, autumnal bliss 🍁

Uuu... What a nice autumn leaf <3

Full joy mode ON :) Maybe soon I will be able to release inner child of running in huge brown-red-yellow piles of leaves :D Imagine that! Running all intervals across such piles :) What a fun that would be! My doggie would be probably double happy waggy tail 🐕

Sounds perfect! Super soft under foot too... hmmm you’ve got me thinking 🤔 I might have to plan a trip to the local arboretum for an autumn run

...great idea 💡
