Well I found this run tough today and I really didn’t expect to so it’s left me feeling deflated. I’m doing this on a treadmill and so far I’ve had phone on silent and just watched for when to walk or run. This week as I’ve got the 20 min run looming I thought I’d give music a go to stop boredom but I feel like it set me back!! With earphones in I was very aware I could hear my breathing and felt like I was panting and puffing (which I wasn’t - at that stage lol) Because of this I tried to breathe quietly and it really affected my whole run and I felt out of breath and out of control! I finished it but think I’ll try run 2 on Wednesday the old way and see how I go. So disappointed in myself today 😏

Dont worry about it. Tough or not, you completed it. And you know what, we all have a few bad runs in us. It's just part of the gig.

Put it down to experience, put it behind you and look forward to your next run.

You'll be just fine and sure. And as for that 20 minute run, just start slow, real slow and kick it up at the end if you still have the energy.

Have faith, you're doing great.

Everyone's running is different some like music , some don't. No need to feel disappointed, you did it. Well done you 🤗

Changing things can often throw things out. Don't let it get to you, not every run can be a good one, but there's something good in every run 👍🏻😉

We all have struggle runs. Mr E calls them “tired old man runs”! 😂

... but you completed it - a cause to be proud of yourself, not disappointed. 😄

Experimenting with how we run is all part of the adventure - and finding the way that you enjoy it the most is important. If you don’t try new things how will you know?

Also just because one run with music didn’t work well, doesn’t mean it will be the same next time.

Keep going, we’re waiting to cheer you on! 😄

You completed another run today, well done you! 👍 And you did it although it was tough. Now, isn't that something to be proud about! 👏👏👏

There is always a tough run here and there for whatever reason, onwards and forwards and enjoy

Come on girl you can do it, no ones listening to you panting so get those earphones on and pant away. I'm a road jogger and find that some good loud up tempo music keeps me going and helps me pace myself. I dont look at the time as I find it makes the time go slower. We got this and I'm sure will smash the dreaded 20 min run by the end of week 👌😊

Been thinking about u today wondering if u had done this run! Thing was I wasn’t actually even panting at that stage cos it was the first 5 min run, it’s just having something in ur ears makes u sound loud haha! I ended up taking earphones out near the end but by then I’d already stuffed up my usually good breathing and boy did it make a difference 😩 my legs r heavy tonight so I’m gonna have a soak in the bath. Hoping Wednesday is gonna be a better run 🙂

I noticed the panting the first few runs but I dont notice it now lol. I'm really not sure my legs can run longer than 5 mins at a time. Who decided this week we should run for 20 mins, it's a bloody big jump 😉

I know eh haha! I find so long as I can keep my breathing regular I can fight through the sore legs. I keep telling myself, ‘just one foot in front of the other’ I am going to see how Wednesday goes with the 8mins then take it from there.... would consider doing the week again but I’d really love to try the 20 mins and have Faith my body is ready. Time will tell! I’ll look forward to ur updates 😁

The programme has worked so far so no reason this week wont work. My next run will have to be thursday. I actually really like the little comfort breaks lol. I really dont think I'll manage 20 with no stop but I didn't think I'd run for 5 so every extra minute is a bonus. Got myself some trainer lights too so looking the part, my hubby thought I looked a d#%k lol, I probably did 🤣

You will get there. I attempted this one 4 times before completing it, but have today completed the 20 min run with ease. Positive mental attitude, slow and plenty of water and you will be fine. Keep the faith.

Hello CJMumma. I found today's run harder than I expected too. I've blamed the slightly hillier route than normal (and trying to avoid the boggy patches). I might repeat the two runs, depending on how I get on on Wednesday. Think I need to drink more as well. Sure you will be fine. 🏃‍♀️😁

Yeah it’s weird. I had it in my mind that it was less run time so would be easier 🤷🏻‍♀️ anyway all we can do is try! Good luck for ur next run and keep me posted 👍🏼
