Today was my best run. I managed to control my pace by constantly reminding myself to slow down. It has taken me 9 weeks, but I think I have finally cracked it on pacing myself!

I could have kept going and I was able to increase my speed in the last 5 minutes, as I had taken it easy for the first 25 minutes.

I ran 5km today with an average pace of 5.56km. 13 seconds slower than run 1 this week, but I have finally found my pace.

Really happy as my last run was horrible. I now know I could run further if I control my pace.

This is the first run in 9 weeks where I haven't struggled or wanted to stop.

Thank you Al. I am very tall, so my steps are probably a bit bigger than most. It seems like I am barely moving!

Indeed, practically all top sprinters and athletes are over 6' tall with long legs

Well done

This reminds me very much of my W9R2............a glorious run, proving to me that I had finally cracked this running thing...........only to be followed by a terrible slog of a graduation run, because I was too impatient to wait until Saturday, so set off on a Friday evening, after a hard week at work......set your graduation run up carefully...... it should be memorable for the right reasons.

Thank you for the advice - it is greatly appreciated. I am doing my graduation run on Sunday so I should be ok. Thanks again.
