Weeks 1 to 5 were very difficult. I wasn't convinced I would complete C25K. I repeated most weeks 1 to 4 and missed runs as it was too hot or going on holiday. I started this in July, so it has been a slow process.
The turning point was W5R3. When I did that I knew I could complete C25K. Joining this forum was another massive factor, which I did at W5R3. I received so much great advice. Thank you everyone for your support!
I finally learnt how to pace myself in week 9 run 2. Before that I have been going way too fast and every run was a massive struggle.
Today was great. I was slow for the first 20 minutes. My average pace was 6.01, so I was slightly below completing 5km today, but I did easily complete 5km in my previous two week 9 runs.
I had so much energy left today and my last km today was 5.25km. I was very slow in the first 4 km's. I have got the rest of my life to work out the correct pace for me!
I am not entirely sure what is next for me. I would love to find the right pace for me. I might try to keep a constant pace if 5.50km and see how I feel doing that.
I am already looking forward to my next run on Wednesday! Thanks again!

That’s great, and really inspirational. I’ve just done W5 R3, and I’m amazed I managed to run 20mins non stop. It’s lovely hearing others made it. Hopefully I’ll be able to report similar success in four weeks. Congrats x
Congratulations! I found that last run in week 5 very liberating, and yeah it’s the run that says “I got this” more than any other. Work on pace little by little, shorten the run to keep it doable... and keep other runs long. Have fun with that. Celebrate long and hard first though, you’ve earned it.
