Hi all, after my last post I am still injured, my ankles are still sore and knee is terrible. I really don’t no what I have done but I’m so upset that I can not run 😞😞 The pain Is bearable but really annoying sore and achy I walk like I probably need crutches!

I have posted to pics of my knee where u will see it looks swollen. Can anyone see what I’ve done?

Thank You!

Seek medical advice from a medical professional. Maybe ice it and elevate it in the meantime?

Oh dear, that sounds frustrating and painful.

Definitely take rest days until the pain and swelling have subsided. Best to seek some help from a doctor or physiotherapist, get some help making a plan to recover from this and prevent it from happening again.

When you do restart, perhaps go with 30 minute brisk walks for the first week to make sure all is well? In addition to any exercises you may get from doctor/physio, you may want to do some balance work (helps strengthen muscles/tendons in ankles/knees) and knee exercises. nhs.uk/live-well/exercise/k...

Ouch. Dr or Physio opinion and possible treatment may be a very good move.

Same area where I swelled up. I reckon it was because I tried to keep weight off my sore/stiff left foot and hurt the right knee. After a week's rest it settled down and I now run slower, watching my breathing and at a pace I can still talk.

Did you have a gait analysis prior to your injury? If not it might be a wise move to do that once you’re up and running again. Your issues could have been caused by ill fitting trainers, simple as that.

But please seek medical advice, as if you don’t and you run too soon with no diagnosis, you could be off for months. 😕
