Week 6

Hello everyone,

I am new to C25K and loving it so far. This morning it was raining, I felt a bit hungover and really feeling a bit blue and def not up for running. However, I did my run and felt fantastic afterwards!

Would love to find a running buddy / buddies. Does anyone know much about Park run?

Thanks

Julia

They seem to be Saturday mornings. I've never done one yet as I'm out Saturday mornings.

Hi, I've had a couple of hangover runs in the past.....as long as your well hydrated, as much as you can be with a hangover...It's great ! I felt better too. I've not been to a PR yet, but I'm considering doing one for my graduation. I've started my mapmyfitness app at the beginning of the C25K programme. So I have almost got too 5k with the warm up walk and cool down. I think it's fine too walk 🚶‍♀️some of the PR if you want.

Well done on getting out the door! I’ve just registered for PR but haven’t plucked up the courage to commit to one yet 😬

I can't do parkruns very often now due to work commitments however you will be welcomed with open arms. My home one and all the ones I've visited as a parkrun 'tourist' have always made us welcome. Most have a coffee catch up afterwards and I would recommend this post run as a way of getting to meet fellow runners. Any age, any shape, walk, jog of sprint, it honestly doesnt matter, dont be scared, just sign up and go. But god forbid, don't forget your barcode. :-)
