I DID IT FIRST 5K RUN πŸƒπŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸŒπŸƒπŸ½β€β™€οΈ

I graduated a month ago no where near to the 5k and my runnings been a bit hit and miss, some outside some on the treadmill. I had a disaster on Sunday and went off too quickly ending up not being able to run a full mile I had to walk some. Now today on the treadmill I planned to only run for 35 mins but my legs felt ok so I carried on and managed to run a full 5k in 54.48 To say I was chuffed is an understatement. Keep at it everyone if I can do it anyone can. Also this week I joined slimming world so hopefully should be a couple of stone lighter by Christmas. πŸ‘

Good for you. Good luck with the weight loss. Stubbornness and determination go a long way in weight loss. Go for it, I believe you can do it !

I am determined this time I’ll be 48 next year and my brother who was as fit as a fiddle was diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer at 48 as I’m getting closer to his age it’s been playing on my mind so to ease my anxiety disorder it’s now or never. Thanks Hun. X

I get anxious, always have done, guess I always will. Anxiety sucks.

Good luck with Weight Watchers, hopefully you will get in with a fun bunch at the meetings. Let us know how it goes.

xx

Well done on your 5k. Following graduation, it is a big target for many. You should be proud of yourself.

It was amazing I have a habit of sabotaging myself if I plan to do this sort of thing, this time I just listened to my legs they felt ok so I went for it if I did it brill if I didn’t then I’d still run longer and further than I had before. X

Great job... thats a big push, but after C25K nothing was gonna stop you achieving your 5k. Good luck with the weight loss, you have the time to lose 2 before Christmas and you have the determination.

Well done on running 5k and joining Slimming World! I’m at my target weight but still go to keep me on track. I’ve lost 3st and feel better than I ever have at almost 49. I look forward to following your progress. Go for it!

Well done and congratulations! It really is a great achievement and will certainly work with you diet plan. I can run further than my sons who are in their 20’s now. It is strange how nearly all of us cannot quite believe we made it this far, I can remember the first weeks thinking I am never going to be able to run 5k. Now I am consolidating as advised. Xxxx

I can still remember this first time I tried the C25k and I was nearly sick, I could hardly walk due to a stitch; but this time I embraced my inner snail and if I don’t go off too fast I can run further than both my 17 & 19 year olds. Thanks. X
