W1R1 completed.....

I have blisters and sweat in my eyes but I did it (despite desperately wanting to give up halfway through). I went VERY slowly but decided that’s better than nothing - I suspect my jog/run would be most people’s brisk walk...

Woho. Well done on finishing your first run. I do the workout at only 3km per hour ( I have a treadmill) but if it gets my heart rate up and makes me sweat I’m obviously doing the speed I can handle to finish the workout. Slow and steady wins the race after all 😀

Yes I was in a treadmill too and did the walking at 3.5 and the running at 6. Except for when I accidentally punched the 9km/h button and nearly went flying! Good luck with your running!

Wow your pace is really good for your first run. 😀

Woohoo!

If you're getting blisters you may want to check your shoes are appropriate for running (they will usually be 1-2 sizes bigger than your usual size, and best advice is to get a pair suited for your gait by getting a fitting at a running shop), or if you've got great shoes already, make sure you're using moisture wicking socks, and if you still have an issue, use something to reduce the friction, like Body Glide. Nobody wants to put on those shoes again knowing how much those blisters are going to hurt... ouch!

Yes I stupidly wore new shoes without socks... I’ll go back to my old ones and wear socks tomorrow 😊

Great job. Slowly is the best way through this programme... think about speed after week 9 if you want to. Keep going just like that and you’ll be just fine.

Well done Pickles!! Slow & steady wins the race metaphorically speaking👏

Well done on completing the run, you are on your way now.... try Compeed plasters on the blisters they work well ... i would keep an eye on the running pace and may be dial it back a bit if you are struggling to much..

Slow and steady is the way to go.

Well done Pickles1234, I started W1 last week but couldn’t complete R1 so repeated it and did it. I did R2 last Friday and managed that however, I failed to get up on Monday so I’ve repeated W1R2 this morning, I’ll do R3 on Friday.

I’m like you, I don’t go fast at all, I take my time. We are about getting fitting not racing 😃
