Well first run/walk completed this evening with my Son James (8). Not as bad as I thought it was going to be. Not sure if I am not running fast enough. Covered a distance of 3.77km so hoping someone can guide if this is not enough and I need to whip the little one along a bit :-)

Speed isnt important at this stage. You are building up stamina for future weeks so dont worry too much. Just go with a comfortable pace.

Good luck

Sounds like you are going at a fair pace. The programme is about building stamina and gradually increasing the length of time you run rather than speed and distance, especially at this stage. Well done on getting that first, vital, run out of the way. The hardest part is over. Good luck with your next run and best wishes.

I don't think it matters as long as you know you are running and can keep it going. Well done for getting out there and giving your son such a great example:-)

Lovely pic! Well done for getting out there, and taking your lad along too. Ditto the above, speed can come much much later :D
