So I started this yesterday. Just managed to complete before I thought I’d die from being out of breath lol. My legs are sore today. Looking at a few weeks down where I’ll have to be running for 3 minutes straight and I’m like waaahhh? Me? Urm okay let’s see how that plays out lol. Oh well I started now, first steps taken.

Any other beginners? How is it going?

I felt just like you and am now managing Week4. I have been amazed at how by following the program my body can cope.

The first week I had a lot of muscle aches and pains but they weren't as bad in following weeks.

Simple leg stretching after the warm down walk has really helped me.

My top tips are to only think one run ahead and to go slow.

I hope you enjoy it.

I have repeated Week 1 deliberately and consecutively. Week 1 Run 9 tomorrow and then going to progress true to the programme.

Good luck to you Queenie_28

Well done for starting the programme. I felt like you when I first started. I am now about to complete week 4-running for 5 minutes at a time. I am no longer running out of breath & actually enjoy my runs now. Definitely do the leg stretches as they will help. Good luck

Well done for getting started. You will be amazed how you progress. I don’t know about anybody else, but I deliberately didn’t look at future runs so that I couldn’t get scared and just followed the lovely Sarah Millican’s gentle encouragement 😃. Good luck for the next one!
