W6R3 gutted

I’m absolutely fuming with myself, so upset, I struggled all the way through run 2 of week 6 with the worst stitch ever and could barely move when I got home, wasn’t sure if I had actually pulled something.

Set off on my run tonight and after 5 minutes the stitch started again, I ran through it for another 3 minutes but the pain was unbearable. I was running from mine to my parents and I actually had to ring my mum to come and get me!

I feel so upset and disheartened with myself

Don’t be too hard on yourself. We all have bad runs. Stick with it. You are doing great. This article might help runtastic.com/blog/en/12-ti.... 😁

Ok so you drove through one run and gave the next one all your effort and you’re upset? I think that’s amazing. You’re 6 weeks into this and look just how far you’ve come... run 3 will wait... you can and will do it. I’m at the same stage as you and I’m damn proud of myself. Rest up and see if there’s anything here runnersworld.co.uk/health/i... or other places that can help you with the issue... then come back and kick its ass.

We are not at home to Mr. Upset and Mrs. Disheartened. Just a bad day, nothing to beat yourself up over. 🤯🤬😭

Are you hydrating lots and lots even on rest days? That may help a bit, and of course the c25k panacea, slow down a bit. 👍👍👍.

A rest day and then smash 7 shades of ships biscuit out of it. 💪🥊🥊🎯

I haven’t drunk enough today, had a hectic day at work and ended up no where near my water bottle all day. Wonder if that’s the reason xx

Plenty of water for next time and hopefully no problems. 😃😃😃

Certainly no need to be disheartened.. you gave it a go and that is to be applauded 👏👏

There can be many reasons for a stitch .if you haven't suffered one previously it may well be a one off, just one of those days we all have occasionally..

Enjoy a rest day. Recover and go again 😁😁

You've broken the back of this - fluids and slowing down often helps.

I can think of several elite marathon runners I have watched on tv struggling with a stitch - so you are in good company.
