W6R3 is in the bag! It was my second attempt after getting stitch pain in the first attempt which stopped me after 10 minutes.
Yet, I think I'm running too slow. I usually set my treadmill on 7km/h and 4.3km/h when walking. By the end of the exercise, I was running on 6.5 km/h and covered only a little more than 3km overall. I did make the inclination 1.5 in the beginning of the run but then I made it 0 after 10 minutes or so.
Any advise on speed? What is your experience so far?

Following this post as I'd be interested in the answers! I've only used treadmill for second time today. Week 6 run 2. I think my speed when running was 5 point something, always keeping myself slow. So maybe you're faster than you need to be. I let myself run at a more natural speed for the last minute of each session and that was around 6 point something but I don't think I'd want to keep that up the whole run just yet. Generally I run outdoors and don't know what speed I'm at.
Best advice on speed right now is don’t think about speed. Focus on finishing each run and being tired doing it. Your heart rate needs to be elevated by 30 minutes of exercise... if it is then your job is done, and onto the next one.
Well, post graduation if you don’t hit 5k, there’s a couple of ways to go. Follow the spirit of this plan and spend a few weeks extending the time you run for, or work on speed, for which there’s more than a couple of apps out there. Pre graduation I wouldn’t mess with the programme.
Hardly anyone does... we have had surveys on this... and the majority of folk do not make 5K in the 30 mins in the nine weeks
Many of our most awesome runners on here have never done 5K in 30 Minutes They run Marathons and half marathons and do all kinds of amazing stuff though !
From reading lots of forum posts the focus is on running for 30 minutes non stop at the end of the 9 weeks rather than running 5k. Once you can do 30 minutes the speed can be improved on later. I get the impression that the majority don't run 5k in 30 minutes by the end of the 9 weeks and that is okay.
Well done you! I’m attempting this run later today and felt very tired on the last run. I wouldn’t worry about your speed just the time running. Speed will come with practice.
