Week 6 Run 2 horrible

Absolute pig of a run. I shouldn’t have gone out as I felt knackered and I just couldn’t get going. Might repeat that one before progressing to the next run. The last two runs really have been horrible. Legs felt heavy and the run was really stampy

Dispised that run myself, I posted here about it too, if you completed it, no need to repeat it just move on. Week 6 1 and 2 were awful for me too, real struggle, but just completed week 7 run 1 with relative ease

Thanks for that response that actually really helps. I just don’t understand how 5 days ago I ran 30 minutes and loved it and the last two sessions have involved walking and yet I found them so tough !

I don't get the science behind it but there must be some reason for it. Look at it the other way.. Did you find the 8 min runs hard? I know I did but still managed 20 the next time. Of all the runs ive done I actually think today was the easiest, Felt like I could have carried on for a bit

Edit: I mean I ran 20 mins last week non stop not 30

I didn’t enjoy W6R1 today and am not looking forward to the stop/start of R2. But you did it and now there’s no more interval runs for you!

Hi, I don’t post much but would just say week 6 is notorious for catching us out, especially after the high of W5R3. I detested weeks 4 and 6! It’s all part of building up your stamina on this brilliant programme. I wouldn’t repeat if you’ve completed the runs. Well done on your progress so far! Those non stop runs and podium are in sight!

Week 6 is hard going back to interval runs but you’ve done it so take that achievement. In time you will feel the benefit of it. Big well done and keep going 👍🏻
