Any advice on running in the rain please, tomorrow is my run day and it’s due to rain quite hard, I’ve been lucky so far as I haven’t experienced more than a slight drizzle. Should I wear extra layers, waterproofs etc, should I expect the ground to be slippery?

Rain
Slippery ground is always an issue, careful on grass especially. I don’t add anything to my running gear... fast warm up and then I’m wet and can’t get wetter, the rain cools me so nicely and a jacket would have me overheat... straight under warm shower when I get in though!
Don't try to dodge the raindrops............just accept that once you are wet you are not going to get any wetter.
If the temperature drops you might need extra layers but otherwise, why get more clothes wet.
It is a rite of passage, but in over 5 years I have only started a handful of runs in the rain. Weather forecasting and flexibility means that rain can often be avoided.
Dont wear any cotton! Get some man made fibres; they dont soak up swet or rain. Cotton is a death trap in winter.
