Running in the rain

Completed my first run of week 3 today. It started raining before I'd even finished the warm up and stopped just after I got back. At least the rain stopped me thinking about the 3 min runs.

Rain is a multifaceted blessing... it’s a great distraction and it keeps you that bit cooler... I love it. Great job today.

Oh how I’d love to run in the rain! It sounds so appealing, and there’s only been one occasion since mid June when I started the programme when it drizzled a bit! Bet you remained lovely and cool. 😀😀

To be honest, it did give me something else to think about instead of the 3 mins running and it was cool😊 I thought I'd struggle with the jump from 90 secs to 3 mins but it was ok. It's also due to rain on my next run day 🙄🙄

Me too. Today. In the rain. Next time I’m going out in contact lenses rather than glasses! The 3 minute run was a killer though!

I had glasses too. Kept slipping off my nose😂

I kept wiping them dry in the walks! At one point I thought it would be better to take them off and run blind!!

We need to invent windscreen wipers to go with our glasses keeperoners!

A baseball cap keeps the raindrops off your glasses - I pinch my daughter’s! I feel very silly in it, but it does the job. 😄

I love running in the rain as long as my torso & arms are dryish- so a light cycling jacket is perfect. 😀

If you like running in the rain, try running when it is snowing. The quiet is dreamlike - my fave runs of all time have been on trails in a light snow.
