Just finished week 1 and realise I need a pair of good but not expensive running trainers. I’m not into fashion etc just want a comfortable, functional pair. Thanks everyone 😄
Good running trainers : Just finished week 1 and... - Couch to 5K
Good running trainers
This is my collected thoughts on running shoes healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
If you’re gonna be a fell runner we can probably advise... if you want to run on hard even surfaces, we probably can’t... you need the gait analysis and will be suggested some shoes... and they don’t come cheap. Tell the guy at the time your budget and they may, often, well have a sale line of last seasons colours at the right price. Or, make sure you go to a free analysis store and then shop online... but usually the shop offer is better than the online special price.
Well done getting through week one... enjoy week 2
I am a big lady and realised that I need good trainers too when I started running 🏃🏾♀️. I use either Asics or New Balance trainers! Bought Asics on sale on MandM website and New Balance on Sports Direct website and they were both £20 each!
Check the link out from IannodaTruffe . We are all different and our shoes reflect that.. what is right for one, is not right for another. There are great bargains to be had, discontinued ranges and funky colours.
I was lucky... I began this by just doing the wet foot test... and researched thoroughly which shoes to get... I have two pairs for Trail and off road, and two for road running I have never paid full price... all the same brand and suit me perfectly!
My first pair served me well before needing to be replaced

But.. your shoes, next to you are your best asset, so it is worth getting a good pair
Thank you all some great advice
