Yay....finally. Is there space on the podium for a small one? Maybe a bit of brashness had crept in, but I found today hard going. I'm in Great Yarmouth today, so ran along the promenade. It was windy but welcoming to pound a different route. I'm especially happy as I had started in January but had to stop at W3R1 due to tearing my achilles. It took six months before I could start up again.
I'd like to thank all that have posted encouraging posts during the nine weeks. You and the forum have helped tremendously.
If you're struggling, keep at it. Grit your teeth and say you can do it. Nine weeks ago I hadn't run in 30+ years. If i can do it, anybody can! Have faith in yourself.
I'm going to take a week out to give my poor body a rest, haha. Then I intend to keep up 30mins x3 per week and Parkruns. I'll still be around offering my tuppence worth now and then. Thank you all. Now, where's that champers??
Love to all, Antonio xx

Tough last ruin, torn achilles, big steps up on intervals, hard work, there’s nothing that can stop you.
Have a great evening and well deserved week off. And remember, as you’re having a week off, that dehydrating stuff you’ll be drinking tonight won’t affect your next run 😂
Yet again, late to the bloody party! 🙄Where’s my bubbly??
I knew you’d do it Antonio, you promised you would!
(I don’t mean graduate....I mean you promised you’d post a selfie!!!)
Anyway... well done you. Really happy, thrilled and....dare I say...proud, since I’d singled you out as my running buddy way back in the new year. You didn’t let me down. I knew you had potential!
A...let me find my hanky. I've got something in my eye!! Thanks for supporting me and having faith. You've always been there. It's been a journey but one made easier by one and all I'm sure we'll remain buddies and the bubbly is on ice, just for you xxxx
Have a nice weekend in Great Yarmouth. There’s worse places to be.
So funny, all this time I’ve been chatting to you and I had a mental image of you. ....and your photo was no surprise at all. Exactly as I thought. Weird eh?
Thanks. If you're like me, you'll get to prefer the longer runs. The walk, run, walk routine has its place but the longer, non-stop runs are far better. Watch out for W6R1. Hard to explain but you'll see what I mean. Good luck with the rest of the programme.
Well done Antonio! You rock! I have really enjoyed your posts and appreciated your support. You deserve a bottle of bubbly and a shiny new graduation badge xxxx
