Completed Wk9 R3 Graduated nearly 60

Hi All

This is my first post since I started Couch to 5K at the beginning of April. After a couple of weeks off in May with throat infection and laryngitis I finally graduated this beautiful sunny morning.

Thank you all for your posts they really did inspire me to keep going.

After a holiday in Oz to see our son, I realised I was so unfit and overweight when walking the Bondi to Coogee coastal route. Made up my mind I had to do something about it when I came home and downloaded the app.

Having never run before apart from some cross country school days was determined to do it. My hubbie had already started it, so it was good to have company at 6am.

Today was such a celebration to graduate as I have lost weight and will be 60 in two weeks time and hubbie 65 later in year.

Our daughter signed us up for a charity 5k run in September so there is no stopping now. Looks like it will be Saturday morning park runs now.

Many thanks again to all of you runners and your inspirational words.

Congratulations! I too completed this morning. I don't know about you but I still have a huge grin on my face. I am not sure I would have continued so well after being ill - I am really impressed by your efforts.
