Once I get to 5K (hopefully!) What is the best way to progress to 10K ?

To do it sensibly

Bridge to 10 k on here would probably be the place to start. There’s no app though, so you may prefer Strava/Nike/another plan.

The key is to extend distance covered slowly to keep the odds of injury very low.

hello, UNF means on the other forum here > healthunlocked.com/bridgeto10k

there's a plan run by the wonderful ju-ju- , featuring weekly posts with each run. You can join any time. Here is the post with all the weeks listed: healthunlocked.com/bridgeto...

You might like to look at one of the FAQs on here when you finish C52K though, the "What next" one healthunlocked.com/couchto5... . It'll give you all the info you need including pointers to things like the 10% rule which is your guide to sensible distance extension :)

I graduated couch to 5k in December with no interest in running any further..... I am in week 8 of 9 in a 5-10K program next run is my 60 minute run I’m hoping to get to 9k every run I have done on the program is the most I have ran . I won’t lie o battle not with the run itself it’s the mental battle thinking I can’t do it but so far I have and if someone would have said a year ago I would be running I would have laughed at them ! Good luck and have faith in yourself

No I found it in the Apple App Store it’s called 5k to 10K and has a blue/green colour on the front with 10K in it . There are a few on there but this is a free one and very good . 3 runs a week building up to 10K
