Just completed the run. I'm counting it even though I had to walk 2 or 3 times because of slight cramp in my right leg. I carried on after Michael told me to slow down which is why I'm counting it.

Any suggestions how to prevent cramp? I've never had it before.

Well done on your run - you’re almost there! 👏👏

Are you hydrated adequately? Cramp can be caused by dehydration, so it’s important to drink plenty of water the day before a run, and on the day too, although not too close to the actual run itself. Is this the first time you’ve had it during the programme? Your legs should be plenty fit enough now you’re on W8.

Hope it’s better next time out! 😀

I wondered if it was a hydration issue. I would normally have a good 1/2 l water over the morning before running at lunchtime but I forgot my water bottle at home today. Everything else felt fine which is why I'm still counting it.

Thanks for your advice x

Great job. Think you’ve worked out the cramping too. 5 to go... keep working ready to celebrate next week!

As said, hydration is key. But, but have you tried drinking tonic water? It helps alleviate cramps.

I haven't tried tonic water to hydrate myself. I only tend to drink it with gin! Thanks for that I shall try that tomorrow before my park run
