...Keep running! Today I found it really hard, I think I got a bit carried away and ran too fast initially. My legs were screaming toward the end. Still did it though so that's a plus! I'll get the balance right on Friday!
W3R2 When the going gets tough...: ...Keep... - Couch to 5K
W3R2 When the going gets tough...
Well done. As you said you kept going and that's the key. Working out the pacing is definitely a skill I've yet to master 🤣 if you are feeling good you want to go for it but then pay later!
So kudos for beating the mind gremlins 👿🔨🔨 🏃♀️💪👏
Well done for sticking at it 💪 you didn’t give up & that’s the most important thing! Remember there’s no such thing as ‘too slow’. Take your time, it’s easier to start off slow and increase pace if you can rather than start too fast & make it more difficult for yourself. I’m on Week 9 and still struggle with finding my pace. Keep up the hard work, you’re doing great 😊
Great job... when it’s a challenging one the head has to work. Slow that pace as you’ve identified the issue and onwards!
Oh how I relate to overly enthusiastic starts! Good job on powering through!
I think you have identified your 'problem'. Running too fast, The C25K is not a race. OK, it's nice to beat the last time you did, but completing the course if FAR more important than times.
The 5K part is a little misleading - what you should aim for is running for 30 minutes after 9 weeks. If you do reach the giddy heights of 5K too, then all well and good, but many don't, and we are just as proud of them.
Slow down, listen to your body and relax.
