5k less than 40 mins amazing

Took my tired, from climbing ladders painting, legs for a bit of a trot this evening. I was not expecting much and before I started had already convinced myself I would probably call it a day at 30 mins if I even managed that. Then something takes over and after I ran out for 2.5k thought might as well run back

Run over at 39.52

I have been a bit quicker once or twice but last few months never below 40 mins

Might not seem like an achievement to you young long legged gazelles but I feel great.

I think of myself as a 'gazellephant'. I call upon my 'gazellephant' power up if required to leap over a ditch or stream when out walking (and running) and it just about sums up the elegance of it!

Great job... sub 40 is very impressive considering where we started.

I think so given my age and all those cigs I used to smoke

Those two factor just make it even more impressive. Nothing can stop you.

39.52 ~ Bonkers!! Well done my friend 😊 You could have been describing me there with your head telling you you'll probably stop at 30 minutes and your lungs reminding you of all those ciggies you used to smoke!! Except my lung capacity, like yours I'm sure, is increasing now 😊 As your name suggests keep on running Runningroni .... 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Yep often plagued by self doubt but I make myself do

A good number if years ago we organised a donkey derby. My friend said she would sponsor a donkey but it had to be called running Rhonda. So runningroni derives from there. Stubborn old mule.
