Week 2 in the bag!

Hi everyone! Hope the weekend is going well! I ran W2R3 today! Yay, can’t believe week 2 is done! It was my first time having a 2 day rest in between so I was more apprehensive. It was mostly ‘do able’ today! I was feeling nauseous just before my last 90s run though. I probably should have stopped but I didn’t want to stop when I was nearly there! Thankfully, my stomach settled down during the cool down walk! I did eat an hour and half earlier which I knew wasn’t the best of ideas! I just wanted to get week 2 done and it was getting late in the day! I think I still need to work on my breathing. I seem to need a big gulp when I stop for my brisk walks in between which makes me wonder if I’m not getting enough oxygen during the run! Not sure if this is normal! I can’t really go any slower than I am. Also, note to self - urgently need to find bottoms that don’t gradually slide down during my run! It’s getting quite annoying as my runs getting longer so less walking time to pull them up. My normal size and size down (which is quite tight when not running) both seem to slip! Accidentally flashing is definitely not on my list of goals 😂 Happy running everyone!

Well done 👏👏👏 Good job on completing week 2.

I can't recommend under armour leggings highly enough. Mine are compression ones and they don't move. Super super comfy and worth every penny. I got my last pair in sports direct so were a bit cheaper.

See you next week for week 3 😱😆

Thanks for the recommendation! I’ll check them out. Ahh week 3 😱 But, we’ve trained for this. We can do it! Good luck

Hello - oh boy do I understand the leggings gradually sliding down. So annoying! I’ve started rolling mine up to just below the knee and that seems to work quite well. Also, avoiding silky boy shorts type knickers underneath. Give it a whirl and good luck. It’d be awful to get arrested for indecent exposure!

It’s so distracting. I am so paranoid the entire time or trying to pull them up mid run without stopping and trying to ignore the fact that people can see me do it! It’s not graceful. Oo thanks for the advice. I’ll give that a go until I find some better leggings/joggers or whatever people wear when running

Awesome stuff! I think breathing just takes practice, you'll have to consciously think about it until it comes naturally. I wear bottoms that tie at the top to ensure I don't have to worry about sliding! Good luck for week 3!
