Week 7 run 2
I literally had the exact same experience this evening. I stopped early (20 mins in) and feel defeated. I drank plenty but tonight just feel fed up, I feel your pain
Ok... great job first and foremost. It gets easier at different points for different people... but once you graduate then the recommended route is to just run 30 minutes until it becomes comfortable/easy, so it will get easier during that time.
If the pain is sharp and striking it’s probably best to stop... if it’s aching/fatigue pains then slowing down a shade more will help.
Sometimes runs are just tough... usually the next one is much smoother.
Well I had a rest for 2 days then went for a run but after 5 minutes it was a achy , fatigue pain not sharp pains ,and legs just felt really heavy and just hurt. 🙁 I did push myself a few days before that so I don’t know if that’s the reason. And my legs just hurt again this morning
OK... firstly... who said this was going to be easy?
Nothing worth achieving in life is 'easy'
Why are you doing this?
You want to get fit? There's no easy way to do that.
You want to lose weight? There's no easy way to do that.
When well it become less difficult? Firstly when you embrace the difficulty. This is you doing it! Doing more than sitting on the sofa or complaining that you're not fitter. You're doing something about it!
90% of this challenge is mental. Your lazy brain does not want change. It does not want you to succeed, then it will have to do more outside its comfort zone...it will have to change and it does not like change. So it's throwing you these thoughts... it's too hard... I don't think I like it... and it's winning. Who's in charge? Once again... why are you doing this? If you want it... you definitely can do it.
Once you start to embrace the fact that's it's hard but you're doing it... it gets less hard. As your body gets used to this crazy new habit it becomes easier for your muscles and it feels easier on the body but the biggest, most difficult hurdle is that 'I don wanna' 😣 brain.
Who do you want to win?
I want to win 😊and I will good advice thankyou 😊
