Took the kids on a run

Hi i have just started wk3 again after a long break ( previously got to wk6 r3)and my girls 7 & 8 have been pestering to come with me so i let them, the older 'sporty' one didnt enjoy it and got stroppy, but my 7yr old who isnt as keen to be active, made me really proud, she is quite chunky and self conscious as she loves clothes. She was obviously tired by the last run and her legs were hurting but she really came through! Her little cheeks were so flushed and she was sweating but when we had walked home she had a nice bunch of cold grapes and a cool bath and she has never enjoyed either so much! She even wants to come again next time but that might change when her legs are stiff tomorrow!

Great stuff... if she takes to it, her body conscious issues go pretty soon! My 12 year old has lost two inches from her waist in a few weeks, legs slimming fast... she’s very impressed and now driven to complete this programme... so I have junior parkrun every Sunday now! The sporty one will probably get more interested if her little sister looks like becoming more sporty!
