I’ve had a couple of weeks off after getting to the end of week 8 and decided it was best to repeat week 6 just to ease myself back into it. Unfortunately my usual off road track was very wet this morning so I came back with soggy trainers ... can anyone recommend waterproof supportive trainers ?

Maybe try trail-running shoes for the winter? I hope your run went ok - will you be finishing all w6 or will you sneak a w7 in there before going up to w8?
Yep, as said above what you are looking for are called trail shoes. I don't own trail shoes as I mostly run on the coastal path which is a hard surface, but my understanding is that trail shoes are more robust for running on muddy forest tracks and the like although the trade-off is they're a bit heavier than road shoes. Like most people here I wouldn't recommend a brand: instead I would say go to a good specialist running shop where they do gait analysis, and tell them you are looking for shoes for running on off road tracks that can get muddy. If you need extra support due to over-pronating they should identify that from the gait analysis (which involves you running for a short time on a treadmill so they can video your running style). Tell them if you need shoes with extra cushioning. With that information they will identify a number of pairs of trail shoes for you to try on. Not the cheapest way to do it but your feet are all-important when you're a runner.
Not sure that you need waterproof, supportive trainers. You need trail shoes (for grip) but waterproof trainers are going to be hot and sweaty.
My trusty £7.50-Karrimor-from-Sports-Direct-in-the-sale boys' trainers are trail shoes (not that I knew what that was when I bought them) and they seem very lightweight to me, with a breathable mesh upper. I don't think they would keep your feet dry - quite the opposite in fact, I think they're designed to get soaking wet but to dry again really quickly.
There’s a method of waterproofing fabric shoes online using a candle and a hairdryer... it’s on a few howto sites... google should bring them up.
