Hi all
Im hoping to start couch to 5k tomorrow...motivation i need
Youโll love this programme. Follow what it says and youโll be a runner in a few weeks. And use this forum to get advice and support ๐๐
Hi Lizzie, and welcome! What are you hoping to get out of this? Fitness? Weight-loss? Improved self-confidence? Want to run a race for life or a parkrun? A marathon? Couch to 5k can help you with all these goals, so good luck tomorrow ๐๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ๐
Im not over weight ...
Its Lazy and lack of motivation ...
I would love to get out there and run
I used to run cross country ... when i was very young so i know i will like it
Thanks for your reply and support much appreciated ๐
Do it!! I have always hated running, always said I don't do it cos it's dangerous (tongue in cheek but was always my way of saying it's never gonna happen) but after being recommended to give it a go by a friend, I figured I'd bite the bullet and it's safe to say, I'm loving it!
I think, in all honesty, that it helps my 8 year old son comes with me and he's a great motivator (basically I just try and keep up with the little bundle of energy that he is), I like to think I'd enjoy it just as much if he didn't come too but regardless, the program is a really enjoyable and achievable entry into the world of running. Something I never thought I'd ever say, in a million years!
Take it slow, follow the app and you'll do great!
Good luck!
Aw love your advise
Im gonna take my 10 yr old with me
Get her off the technology lol
Cool
I'll let you know x
On our last run we passed a lady who commented how nice it was to see a youngster out and about in the fresh air and it made me feel good about it! In truth, my son is very fit and active thanks to football and swimming so I only really invited him along for some company and to get some mom and son time together but it's so good having him there. We have a laugh and his enthusiasm keeps my pumped so it's definitely beneficial. Whether he'll continue to enjoy it as the weather gets worse, we will see, but I hope do!
Hope your daughter enjoys it and can motivate you too
Yeah forsure
Ive asked her to come along...
Not to enthusiastic but im sure she will love it...we have a good relationship...๐๐
I'm sure she will once you're out there together.
I'll let you know tomorrow
Thanks for the support

Hope all is well๐
The advice here is to take all the runs slow a steady, it is not a race, you have thoroughly thought about starting this and there is no going back, just enjoy all the 9 weeks. Read over some of the posts from people who have done this training course, they all agree that is was one of the best things they did in their lives. I remember reading one post from a girl about 18 years of age, she actually told us all that graduating on her final run of week 9 was a better feeling than graduating from her exams at school.

Check this out... put the shoes on and run...
Slow, steady and enjoy.... that is all it takes.... plus... posting here for great support and encouragement!
You have heard the corny advertising slogans about exercising........look better, feel better..........it is all true and C25K is just about the most foolproof way to become hooked.
Do check out the guide to the plan linked to by Oldfloss.
It can change your life, honestly.
Do it Lizzie you will love it ๐โโ๏ธ๐ฅ
