So...runnings not my thing but I'd like it to be. So many changes in my routine have occurred during this pandemic, some good, some bad. Exercise or (lack of) is one of the downsides to working from home! Lacking some motivation to make a start..all good intentions are there, just need to turn intentions into a reality...

I’d say the biggest challenge is turning the thought into action, once that first step is taken your on your way. I decided to start for several reasons, including exercise/get fit, a need to use up some energy rather that just sitting all day and the mental side of having a purpose to my day. I’m not/wasn’t a natural runner or even had a passing interest in being healthy/keeping fit but I find myself looking forward to my daily outing (I walk on rest day). Just finished week 5 and really enjoying all that goes with it.
Thank you for your reply. My plan is to take the plunge starting tomorrow. I think day 1 will be the hardest. Reading you just completed week 5 and had no interest initially but are now enjoying it gives me some motivation, thank you.
Only advice I can offer(and many others on here do) is go slow. My run/jog was barely faster than my walk to begin with. You can always pick it up a bit if you feel you’ve got it in you but if you wear yourself out early on it makes it much harder to carry on. It’s not a race.
This is me also. I’ve always wanted to be one of them runners in the park but never had the confidence. Well I’ve decided I’m starting from tomorrow 💪 🤞 I have to at least take something positive out of this madness that’s happening just now. You can do it 😁
