Blimey. I knew was unfit, but really expected that to be easier. Worked up a sweat! Haha. I realise that these long meandering walks I do are better than nothing, but don’t really get the heart rate up. Need to stick this out!

Yup, week 1 is tough, that’s for sure. But you'll be ok now you know what to expect. Good luck, and keep going!

Well done - first week is tough - it's a bit of a shock - 60 secs never felt so long😊

Enjoy rest of week and beyond good luck x

I am about to start week 9 BUT the hardest run for me was definitely week1 run1, I struggled to complete it, then looked on here for advice and slowed down dramatically. Yes, its been hard, but not as bad as that first one. Slow down, you can do it

YES! I've just said to a friend that's considering doing it that the best piece of advice I took on board before starting was to GO SLOW! I've always run at a pace in the past and then wondered why I couldn't sustain it. And also why I hated it!

I just finished week 3, my first run was awful and it really took it out of me, keep going one session at a time x

Thank you SOlb. I couldn't believe how hot and sweaty I got! Haha. That's when I realised that my current 'walking' wasn't enough. I was so stiff a couple of hours later. Enjoying my recovery day today. A little light gardening and cleaning. Run 2 scheduled for tomorrow. x

Great decision to start this life changing programme! Welcome to C25K!

W1R1 is hard but its a positive first step to improving your health and well being. Please remember that its not about going fast - it's about keeping going . . . slow and steady . . . . or slower. . . . or slower than slow ... Just dig deep and keep going. There will be plenty of time to work on your speed once you have graduated.

W9R3 will be here before you know it and you too, will marvel at how much you've achieved in three runs a week for nine weeks 😊 Everyone's a winner in C35K!

Please keep posting your progress and let us know how you get on x x
