Hi there all.

Just done W7R1; all going well so far. What with this and that, and barring injury, I should have graduated by the end of September. My plan is to do a Park Run in November, or even October if possible.

What's the best way to get ready for the Park Run? I'm currently v e r y s l o w (2.6 km altogether on W7R1.)

Well done! End of September? Assuming 3 runs a week, that should take you to 8th September. (You can tell I've already worked it out!!) :)

I'm a slowbie too - but have really enjoyed the parkrun thing - have made friends with the lovely tail walker who is great company for the bits I need to walk - one day I'd like to run all the way but that will come in time. Its a great atmosphere though - I went in with the expectation of not being fast but aiming to run for longer each one I do. There will be major partying in the bandit house when I do manage to run the whole 5k lol

Good luck with it x

Hi Lil, lots of people try a parkrun during week 8 or 9 of C25K just to see what it's like. At the last one I went to there were 3 girls sharing a phone, with Laura on at full volume, it was great! You can just use the course to do whatever C25K run you're due to do that day and then walk to the finish. Parkrun is a bit like this forum - very supportive and non-judgemental. Why not give it a try?
