thank you to everyone who advised to 'just do it'. I just did it! Wasn't as hard as I thought it would be and my fastest pace ever. Bring on week 6

Well done... keep it slow and steady as you head on:)

Nice going, and that’s the big milestone of W5R3 passed. Good luck with week 6!

Well done. Be careful with week 6. It's achievable if you approach it properly, but sometimes people get complacent because having run for 20 minutes they think 8 minutes will be easy. But it's NOT 8 minutes, is it? It's 18 or 20 minutes actual running plus short, brisk walks. People make the mistake of looking at the individual runs instead of the total effort of the whole workout.

Don't worry though, you'll get through as long as you're not complacent. By run 3 you'll be glad to get back to the long continuous runs again :)

Thanks for the advice, good to hear from someone who has been there and done it.

I share that particular advice a lot on here for the simple reason that someone gave me the same advice and I was so glad they did. I didn't especially enjoy the first two runs of week 6, but I got through them because I'd been warned to expect that.
