Thanks for the motivation sallenson youโre right Iโm not a potato and I was the best that I could be- in fact a personal PB on pace! ๐Potato truly roasted and it tasted good!
After a tough week 6, I must say that I was in no hurry to face week 7. After a night of back to school dreams, waking up to a cool, grey, drizzly Sunday did not inspire me to hit the pavements. With my summer tan fast fading, off I went.
MJโs voice welcomed me to week 7.....mmmm dreamy- ok not all bad! Brisk walk done, and on to the run.
First 5 mins... Noticing my slightly uncomfortable not usual running bra, stone in shoe, shorts too loose and phone falls out of my pocket on to floor grinding all apps to halt. I may as well have flashed a pair of big pants to the world and called myself Bridget Jones! Just wasnโt feeling put together! Right so quick stop, stone out, cord on shorts tightened and phone rescued...letโs try again.
Thankfully, the rest of my run was actually fairly comfortable. The first time I looked at my time was about halfway and breathing was under control. Instead of having a dayโs rest in between runs I had two. This seemed to help with recovery and I didnโt experience the calf strain that I did last time. This may be my plan going forward with the longer runs.
Got to the hill and for once I didnโt even swear at it! Not even a finger gesture! Maybe Iโm growing as a person!? ๐
Post hill with 7.5mins remaining, I picked up the pace. Felt good and carried on round again and even did a second incline on my last 60seconds!
Feeling like week 7 will be ok after all. ๐
