My beloved husband, who runs marathons just for the hell of it, has always said that nothing beats running in the rain and today, for the first time, I absolutely get it. It's my first experience of my whole run being in the rain and it was bizarrely energising!
I wasn't sure I'd keep going for 8 minutes, let alone for 8 minutes twice, but I did and felt as if I still had more in the bag if I'd needed it.
Psychologically, I'm not sure that I'm ready for Tuesday and the jump to running for 20mins, but, I'm going to take the advice of 'trusting in the programme'
Rightyho, I'm off to enjoy the rest of Sunday - good luck to all my fellow Week 5'ers who haven't been out yet, go for it!

Running in the rain is lovely (whereas I find walking in the rain miserable)
You are ready for run 3, just go for it, nice and slow
Awesome!! You'll soon be keeping hubby company! You will totally smash your Tuesday run. I'm doing run two tomorrow, forgot it steps up to 8 mins 😊 have a great Sunday
I will never be keeping him company in a marathon!! Although, he's had a pretty bad knee injury so has come out with me for a couple of 'trots' as rehab runs. If I'm honest I prefer Sarah Millican's company
I chickened out when it was raining here, but maybe next time I'll just get out there and enjoy it!
Good luck with run 3, you can do it, just believe in yourself and you'll be fine! My advice, like everyone else, is to take it slow, but most of all enjoy it! 😁
You'll have no problem with the 20 minute run. You are completely prepared for it, all you need is a nice rainy day and you'll cruise through it no problem at all. Good luck! 😀👍🏃♀️
Hi Bonio, I did W5 R2 early this morning and actually found it surprisingly easy in fact I ran another 2 minutes at the end. How did R3 go today? not sure I'm ready for the 20 minutes run but will find out on Thursday.
I've done W5 R3 a bit early as not going to get a chance to do it until Sunday if not. After 5 minutes I was thinking not sure if I'm ready for this yet, after 10 minutes it was well maybe I can, 15 minutes was I can do this and at 20 I felt I could do a bit more ( but I didn't) ran 2.5k in the 20 minutes which I'm very proud of.
