Wk5r3 - I did it!

Ankle felt much better so decided to give it a try and figured I could always stop if I needed to. Spent most of the run telling myself I couldn't do it and then suddenly Sarah said I had 2 minutes to go and I then started thinking, oh my god I can do this!!

Ankle twinging again a bit now so will probably have a couple of rest days and look into ankle compression socks or similar but at least that milestone run is done and I did it!

It really is all about ignoring that voice in your head. I CAN RUN FOR 20 MINUTES! Who knew?! ;-)

Way to go... 20 minutes is a huge step. Sounds like the ankle will be good now if itโ€™s only twinging after the run. Enjoy week 6

You should be... look after the ankle a day or two then you have 3 more runs ready to make you proud.

Thanks. Now I've got that milestone run done I'll give it until it's completely healed before I run again and will repeat that run.
