Best of luck - post regularly on here and I'm sure all the support you'll get will help you complete it this time!

All the best do use the forum - to record your journey. I know I am doing just that and it’s helping me to stay on track.

It doesn’t matter if you have started again.

What is important is that you recognise where you faultered? What made you have a prolonged rest🙂?

You might want to try - a virtual running buddy(s) us on the forum- in the same week or a real one? My OH was very supportive in the first week he accompanied me in his mobility scooter. Now that’s a sight😀

Now I’m venturing on my own so I have formed a running habit. 🙂

This works for me -but you need to find what works for you.

I don’t mean to be preachy just trying to be supportive of your efforts and don’t hesitate to post when you are having a tough time. We are all wanting to succeed.

Well done on running. I didn't lose any weight running. Exercise is just 20% of weightloss. Diet is 80%! I know that is disheartening to hear. I suggest you download My Fitness Pal and enter all your meals, drinks and snacks. Find out what your daily intake of calories are and make the necessary adjustments.

In my case, I stopped drinking alcohol and fruit drinks (even fruit juice has sugar added in many cases), and reduced my intake of processed foods including bread, pasta, etc. I reduced my sugar intake and didn't eat any deep fried food. I also had to reduce my portion sizes. It took a while to get the balance right.

Running is a brilliant way to improve your physical fitness and strength. Keep up the good work xx

Good luck and welcome back. Does not matter how many times you do it. Massive credit for doing it again.

Hey Purple Orchid, well done on starting C25k again! I am just like you, I felt I needed to lose weight and had read a lot about the benefits that running has about your mental well-being. I have just done R1 Wk8 this morning and although I don’t find it easy by any means, I love the way I feel afterwards. I have never been a runner, even though I was very sporty as a kid, but now I find I can value it for what it is.

I use it as “me time” I run a very scenic route by the sea same time Mondays Wednesday and Friday and have never felt better upstairs!

Combined with a bit of sensible eating I have lost a stone since I started and can tell I am much fitter.

I am sure you will get the same out of it as many of us..........

Just go get it, good luck!
