Hi everyone and welcome to, yet another, new running week.

We are all so busy... life can be hectic .... and even more so for us runners!

Fear not, here is a place to take five, and enjoy a chat about our running adventures, trials, tribulations, successes, achievements etc.

Sometimes we don't feel like putting a whole post up but just want to share something small, so this is a great place for doing that during the week.

If you're a lurker it is a great place to say a little hi, without the pressure of a full post.

So pull up a chair, slip off the running shoes, and settle down for a little natter:)

Wishing you all a happy , healthy ,running week

Hi, Oldfloss! Working on improving.... Ran .8 miles this week--better than last week. The weather in Michigan this morning is "crisp"--I started out with a light jacket/windbreaker which was nearly too warm at the end. It's cloudy, which is wonderful for me as my old eyes don't "take" to bright sunlight, as explained this past week by my eye doctor and also my internist who recommended a hat and "good sunglasses." I played Rodrigo and Gabriela--very rousing, even for the warm-up walk! I love them! Things are good this morning, which is good, as we have a LOT to do/accomplish today!

It’s amazing what a difference music makes to a run Lisa. I’ve just had one of my most enjoyable runs to Automatic for the People by REM. Haven’t listened to it in ages but I just got lost in it. Did my post run stretches to it as well. Wasn’t looking forward to running in the cold (probably not as cold as Michigan I suspect) but it even got me up the hill I’ve been avoiding since I started doing this (which wasn’t so bad after all), so I’m dead chuffed now.

Hi Oldfloss , nothing major to report, continuing with extra leg strengthening/wall sits, looking to get to 3 minutes by end of this week, it's hard lol

Another 14K 9 miles planned for Friday long run , swapped out intervals for hill repeats on mid week run or a few weeks . Still on for 10 miles by October 😊😊

I’m off for the start of week 9 in a little while... looks a great day for it. Are you heading to HM or long running for 10k pace?

β€’ in reply toUnfitNoMore

At the moment just long running for endurance and stamina, will probably look at HM next year but no real plans ..

Good luck with your week 9 runs 😊

Finding my groove again this week, been against it for the last couple of weeks, not really feeling it. Had a lovely run yesterday with a nice big hill in it, so working on that this week, with a few new routes to be done. Things are looking up!

Well I have had a completely different kind of running. I have been in Montpelier all week so have been running on the beach. My husband has been working here and so I have dressed in my running gear each morning. Walked to the conference centre with him 3k and then started the run. The weather has been perfect and then repeated the run to meet him later. Xx

Beautiful...lucky lucky you...well done..and I really do wish I was there!!

Although we have sun 😎

Enjoy x

I am so pleased with this new stamina - I feel truly blessed that I am healthy enough to run. Whenever I feel I can’t really be bothered I think of all the people who would give anything to put on the gear and use those legs. Xx

Hi Oldfloss, still struggling with my dicky knee but doing the exercises and managing at least one run a week, albeit it a short one - yesterday was a lovely 3.5 along the sea front in Morecambe and I was rewarded with a sunrise πŸŒ…, and an absolute blast of endorphins!

Still hanging on with my repeats of week 1, now jogging 15 seconds of each run so definite progress is being made. Ethel is not keeping this woman back any more !
