Hi everyone and welcome to, yet another, new running week.

We are all so busy... life can be hectic .... and even more so for us runners!

Fear not, here is a place to take five, and enjoy a chat about our running adventures, trials, tribulations, successes, achievements etc.

Sometimes we don't feel like putting a whole post up, but just want to share something small, so this is a great place for doing that during the week.

If you're a lurker it is a great place to say a little hi, without the pressure of a full post.

So pull up a chair, slip off the running shoes, and settle down for a little natter:)

Wishing you all a happy , healthy ,running week

It’s Monday, and it’s not run day... and it’s not workout day either... I dunno what all this fuss is about Mondays, I’m really going to enjoy mine 😂

Have a great run today if you’re running guys.

W8r2 completed after a late start. I have to run past 3 schools so had to set off later (that's my excuse anyway). Now looking forward to a few days away and some new running routes in the lake district. Enjoy your week x

Since I retired 12 years ago at age 60 I have always gone long walks somewhere on a Monday, today was no exception, but since joining C25K and graduating I run for a short time just to stretch my legs between my longer running days which are a Wednesday and Saturday, this morning when I was out I ran 5/ 2 minute runs with between 4/1 minute walks, the rest of the time I just walked briskly in the lovely countryside near to where I live.

Can’t think of a better way to start a week. I’m hoping the weather is good on Wednesday as I’m fancying a good long walk in the hills, well one hill in particular.

I hope the weather will be good for you UNM on Wednesday, heard the forecast, looking good. On Wednesday I hope to go for another 5K run🏃, just locally near to where I live. 😊

Tomorrow and Thursday for runs... I was gonna go 5k Thursday but may bring that to tomorrow as Wednesday looks promising, recovery run Thursday. Then maybe Friday I may go round said hill and look at Jacobs ladder, it has to be run up, but I’ve never had runners eyes on it, so I want to consider how much horizontal range I’ll need to take it on.

Just read about Jacobs Ladder on the Pennine Way at High Peak Edale, it got 82 excellent reviews. That wood be a great climb for you, definitely worth a go, you are now fit and healthy, yes you could try that on Friday but walk up it as you have never had as you say "runners eye on it" 😪

Yeah... I’ve walked up it dozens of times, running it has always been at the back of my mind, especially as I get passed by a few fell runners every time I go!

It’s on them... ladder, Grindsbrook and Ringing Roger... not a bad triple... I need to find a training hill 😂

You do that......I remember Grindsbrook under snow and whiteout by the Downfall... happy days :)

I love Kinder... it brought me back home when I went into semi retirement.

It is a wonderful place.. I have loads of photos of some very happy times there;)

When I first came home I rented in hayfield and went to church... all these 80 year plus olds were on about going “up Kinder” after the service, and again the week after... I thought I must have moved to krypton. Months later I found out that “up Kinder” was a walk to 20 trees and then round the reservoir... a good walk, but not what I thought they meant.

I spent a year there and went to the plateau 200 times.

A week of change ahead for me. Last day today at my old job... rest of the week off, and start the new job next week. I completed week 5 over the weekend and gave myself an extra rest day today, although with the nervous energy I have circulating, I'm wishing I hadn't. The day is still young here in Canada, so perhaps I'll get out yet.

I'm planning to keep at running M-W-F mornings before work when I'm home (will have to be more flexible when traveling), which will mean a slightly earlier wake up to squeeze it in. Hopefully 5:00am is early enough if I get myself well organized the night before, because any earlier than that just seems ungodly!

Hope all the changes go really well for you! Take it steady and use your runs to work off the stress and strain of the changes :) You will find the right pattern to suit your new lifestyle:)

My Nan used to say, ".. a change is as good as a rest..." and she was usually right :) x
