Back on it today. After graduating last Tuesday and a track run on Thursday, and with little Miss UNM going away for the weekend with my dad I decided to take an R&R weekend myself which has been great... now my legs are almost begging me to use them, I’ll oblige them a little later on.
Hi Guys, just went swimming whilst on hols for the first time in a year and it really shows only struggling to do 3 lengths of of a 20 mr pool. the thoughts of a tri sprint next summer may we well ambitious. but on the up side holidays Nice 😀
Gorgeous....I love West Wales.... we have a holiday home in North Wales...I came back from Criccieth this morning.. did a great run, although very chilly, along the Coastal path on Sunday!

I’m a “lurker” as you put it but regularly read the newsfeed. The members who post has changed considerably since I began. I’m not a follower but now I find I would like to contact any members with knowledge/ experience of cannicross. I know there used to be someone who often posted about running with her dogs. Was this Maddie or Maggie? I have a 6 month old Cocker Spaniel and I’m hoping we can run together when she’s older. I need information on equipment etc.
It can be hard.. I find some weeks the runs are sporadic... which can be an issue..but you are really determined... get the shoes on and that will send the gremlins running for cover...Just fit the runs in when you are able
Sometimes we need to be kind... ourselves! You are going to do this!
Ah Buttercupkid!! I know that feeling of finding the time only too well. 🤗 I’m thinking of doing lunch time runs, but my very own TLC measure is making even a 10 minute run, run enough until the busyness passes. Keep going! Even a short run will boost old mojo right up!! ❤️
I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about how I’m going to cope with running in the darkness of winter😬! I’ve only experienced darkness near the end of a run and I didn’t like it much.
Winter time running is my new challenge. So I guess it’s time to put my running adventures head on and just try it when I have no other choice and see! I’m not usually around on the evening that our local running club goes out. I work away, so I may not be able to make good use of my gym membership either. 🙇🏽♀️ Any tips would be welcomed VRBs! ❤️
I am feeling super proud of myself today...I completed Week5 Run3 this morning. My anxiety was through the roof before I started. I thought carefully about my route (no hills!), put my headphones on and off I went and I bloody did it!!
Hi Oldfloss, Started week 5 today and to say I am dreading this week's final run is an understatement. I know it is all a mental challenge with me rather than physical but still URGH!!
Have you got any mental tips to help make this week easier for my brain ??
Completely slow and steady..relax...know you can do it.. this week of runs has become a huge dragon for folk...but, what I say to that , is... If you believe in Dragons, you must believe, also, they can be slain.
You can do this... and we are right beside you every step of the way!
