Hoping this isn’t a crazy 1am scheme but I was looking in the mirror and not liking what I’m seeing so I thought I’d give this a try. I’m 24 and horribly unfit, so I’m hoping a combination of this and healthy eating might make me feel a bit better.
I also have a memory walk in honour of my grandmother with dementia to train for, so any fitness I get along the way would be a massive bonus.
With that in mind, I start tomorrow! Wish me luck!! (I’m gonna need it)

Welcome. You’ve come to the right place. Your fitness will start improving tomorrow and what you see in the mirror will start changing in a few weeks. Relax before each run, tell yourself that you can do it, and enjoy the feeling at the end.
Check back in here regularly, we are good at support and advice. Nothing will happen to you on C25K that somebody here hasn’t been through before.
Yay, welcome! 👏👏 You’ve made a fabulous decision as this is the best programme and you will definitely reap the rewards. All you need to do is trust in it, observe the all important rest days and stay slow and steady. 🏃♀️🐌
You will succeed and we’re all here to help you. 😀 We like pictures too! 🏃♀️🏃♀️👍🏻
Congratulations on taking the hardest step - deciding to start. When you get to week 4 you will know if it’s something that suits you and you then need to go to a proper running shop and get kitted out with specialist running shoes. It makes a huge difference to your running and lowers injury risk. (And for me the investment of £110 in shoes I wouldn’t normally wear made me determined to become a runner!😀🏃🏻♀️👟)
Good luck, this board helped me through it, hope to see your name, with graduate next to it, in 9 weeks time!
Congratulations this was me 24 hours ago, not the 24 bit (I wish ) as I’m a good bit older than you. But didn’t like what I saw and how I felt. I have just done day one run one and am buzzing it was hard but I’ve taken the first 2 steps and tomorrow this will be you 👍
Thanks for all the replies, waking up to this really motivated me to get out there and go.
The first run went ok, struggled a bit towards the end but really went for it with the final minute run and felt pretty good. Think I’m going to recover with a really cold bath now, but hey, onwards and upwards I guess!
