W5R2 - Changed to Podcast ...

Well, W5R2 ... In the bag, and I'm dead chuffed about it too ...

Was a bit hesitant about the run, because I'd not done any forward research, and MJ said on the first run - "Each run is different this week" - and last nights was quite different.

But, I've seen a few of you talk about using the podcasts with built in music, so I thought I'd give it a go ... Nice to have a different voice, and the timing was more exact than MJ or Jo Wiley. The music was a bit off my style, but I really got into my stride with one of the track, it perfectly matched my pace and I must research it for BPM etc so that I can build up my own tracks / play lists.

It was a bit of a shock, right that's your warm up complete, time for your first 8 minute run .... gulp ... it was great, I got into a good breathing rhythm and maintained a good pace, kept my eyes off the clock and just ran ... woman on next treadmill gave my purple nails a good look, and we ran on ...

Five minute break was more than ample time for my recovery, my recovery is getting quicker as my strength and stamina improve .... time for the second and last run, another 8 minutes ... again, it was a good steady pace for seven minutes and I decided to up the pace for the last minute ...

Five minute walk and a shower and I was out of there, standing tall, and proud as punch.

Didn't wear the fancy pants, toned them down to plain white, but wore the yellow stripe leggings .... running is liberating in many ways ....

Thanks to all you people on here for the help and support that I, and all the other Pre-Grads, gratefully receive, and soak up ...

I used to listen to Jo, and switched to MJ, and will probably switch back, because I like my own music, but now I know I like the 150 BPM, that's my next task, a playlist of 150bpm tracks ... all in an attempt to keep a steady pace ... and its good motivation too ...

How for have you got ?

I downloaded a whole lot of Audiofuel tracks for my marathon training, with a voice over coach as I am training for a marathon. Not my kind of music at all but it's running music so that's all that matters, and getting to the end 🙂 I tried it out on a long run and it deffo felt easier. It's quite hypnotic in fact so you just get lost in the music and the running becomes secondary

It's Audiofuel The Second Hour Free Run. Some of,the tracks are from the C25k podcast so were familiar straight away

You are doing brilliantly! Am feeling like researching the whole bpm thing too seeing some of these posts and having had the odd brilliant match-up for music for both pace and morale. Can't wait for the next instalment. Purple nails, pu-u-rple nails...
