I was so nervous about that run. Had butterflies in my tummy and felt sick and came very close to redoing week 3. But I went and I DID IT! Wanted to stop so many times but I didn't. So pleased with myself. Am buzzing now! Cannot believe I can for 16 minutes!

Well done! Did that run on Friday but had to slow down to a walk on the second 5mins. (Pulse rate had gone higher than I like!). You’ve motivated me to try again today. Off to get ready!

Does it make you feel funny when your pulse rate us high? Mine goes high but I feel Ok, legs just feel tired so I figure it's probably ok for me

No, I feel ok but at 64 and diabetic I just want to be sensible so I can keep going. Heading off now! Wish me luck!

I did it!

Two things - slowed my walking pace a bit but made up for it at the end by doing an extra 10 mins walk at the end at a faster than usual pace.

Second, I realise I hold my shoulders and back really stiff so relaxed into it and didn’t even need the extra time walking in the middle!

Doing 20 mins in the bike now - I do

My runs in the gym but have found a flat playing field that 1k around it. Might try there next time.

Thanks for your encouragement 😀

Well done you. I'm feeling much more tired than usual now after that run but I'm not sure I slept all that well so probably just that. I guess it is a big jump in running time from last week. I've a toddler though so no rest in sight :-)

Have completed week 4 and feel as if I have turned a corner on my fitness. Did run 3 today and tried not looking at the dial in the app and also changed my music. It helped and on the second 5 minute run I thought I had about another minute to go and the time was up. Now think I can do week 5 (at least the first run) without worrying too

much about it. Pulse rate stayed well below my self imposed max throughout. Might have to step up the pace again but will see how run 1 goes on Friday😅. Hope you are doing well.
